IAF co-hosts the German Israel Congress in Frankfurt, Germany
June 19, 2016 - Days before the Brexit vote, the bi-annual German Israel Congress was held in Frankfurt, the financial capital Germany. Director of media watchdog Honestly Concerned and founder Sacha Stawski organized the event in association with the Israel Allies Foundation, with 3000 people and 200 organizations in attendance, video greetings from President Ruvi Rivlin and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, exhibition, cultural events, panel discussions, breakout sessions, all as a closing event of the 50 years diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel. Main partners were the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Council of Jews in Germany, the German Israel Friendship Association (DIG), City of Frankfurt, AJC, Israel Bonds, Axel Springer, El Al, KKL, and NAFFO. Organizations in other countries (Spain, Netherlands, Eastern Europe) are looking at the model to repeat the Israel Congress.
The bi-annual German Israel Congress is the largest pro-Israel gathering of its kind in Europe, with a conference and exhibition.

Ambassador of Israel in Germany H.E. Yakov Hadas-Handelsman addressed the audience.
Deputy Minister Ayoub Kara, MK Nachman Shai, MK Robert Ilatov spoke at the conference.
The Israel Allies Foundation involved Rabbi Dov Lipman from the World Zionist Organization, as well as Professor Gerald Steinberg and Olga Deutsch from NGO Monitor, who actively participated in the conference.
Israel's Deputy Police Commissioner General Jamal Hakroosh shared the stage with Former Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz.
MPs from Germany present: Volker Beck, Michaela Engelmeier, and Roderich Kiesewetter, along with parliamentarians from the State of Hesse, the Mayor of Frankfurt, and state secretaries from Berlin.
