Willem Griffioen - Chairman of the Board
Willem Griffioen is a co-founder and the Chairman of the Board of the Israel Allies Foundation. He has been active in Washington, D.C. for more than fifteen years, working together Members of Congress, Presidential Administrations and dozens of organizations advocating for the State of Israel. He has worked closely with the last three governments of Israel including the Prime Minister’s office, the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Tourism. Willem has spoken to audiences of Israel advocates, religious and business leaders, Congressmen and Parliamentarians at international conferences in the U.S., Europe, South America and in Israel.
In addition to helping found the IAF, Willem has worked with and advised several non-profits in the based in the USA, Europe and Latin America and with operations around the world. A born entrepreneur, Willem founded and maintains multiple successful international business ventures with an emphasis on private equity investing and international development. Through his businesses he maintains holdings in numerous companies around the world. Willem is a native of northern Virginia and the Netherlands and currently lives in Maryland with his wife and three children.
